One of the Chinese smartphone makers Meizu has been pretty successful with its last year's flagship device MX3 but the company has strangely not showed any hint of Interest in the Indian market as yet. However, the company's upcoming device - the MX4 has been a topic of interest for many smartphone lovers across the globe and since the MX3 is still the only device, which houses 128GB inbuilt memory, more expectations are settled down on its successor - the MX4.

Obviously, since the IFA 2014 tech show falls in the same week, the first two weeks of September would be bringing a lot of devices to the platter, which means that the rivalry between the new flagship devices would not get even a weeks time to enjoy the full appreciation from the reviewers and fans.

Anyways, coming back to Meizu MX4, the phone has been rumored to come in at least two different versions, a 'base model' or a standard model and a high-end variant.

Meizu MX4's base model would feature a 1,800 x 1,080 pixels screen resolution on a 5-inch display. The phone will be powered by a MediaTek MT6595 processor which is a combination of big.LITTLE CPU along with four Cortex-A17 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and additional four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz.

On the other hand, the high-end Meizu MX4 would come either with a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch touchscreen display with 2560x1536 resolution and it would be powered by Samsung's octa-core Exynos 5433 SoC. Also, the high-end model is expected to feature fingerprint scanner and 20.7 MP rear camera (supposedly the exact same unit that Sony uses on its Xperia Z2).

You can expect both the variants of the Meizu MX4 to come with high-end 3GB RAMrun on Meizu's home-brewed Flyme OS 4.0, which is a different take on Google's AndroidOS.

It's also been rumored that all of the MX4 variations will come with support for 4G LTE, though that will probably only work for Chinese networks.

Regarding the pricing of the device and its market availability, there are hardly any information. Thus, there aren't much option but to wait for the official announcement on September 2, 2014.
