Micromax A190 To Arrive With Hexa-Core CPU, Android 4.4 Kitkat [REPORT]
Mid-range phones have always been an odd segment in the mobile handset market. The hardware they offer is never on the high-end side, but when it comes to affordable prices, no one can beat a nice mid-range smartphone.
India-based handset maker Micromax is keen on expanding its mid-segment handset portfolio by introducing yet another affordable smart phone.
Dubbed Micromax A190, the upcoming phone will be the first handset from the company to feature a hexa-core processor. Just last week, Xolo introduced the Play 6X-1000 with a similar processor, and apparently Micromax does not want to be left behind in this fierce competition.

According to a tweet from @MMXNewscaster, the makers behind the Canvas HD are all set to introduce the Micromax A190. The device in question is rumored to come with a 6.3-inch display of unknown resolution.
Furthermore, the handset will be powered by the MediaTek MT6591 chipset, coupled with 2GB of RAM. Additionally, the rumored phone will offer 16GB of on-board memory. The Android 4.4 Kitkat powered handset could feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Unfortunately, there's no specific information available on when the new hexa-core Micromax A190 might go official. However, the forthcoming phone shouldn't be priced above Rs. 15,000, considering its above average specifications.
The Micromax A190 will certainly face stiff competition from the recently launched Xolo Play 6X 1000 and the Karbonn Titanium Hexa. Both the devices come with hexa-core processors, and have more-or-less similar specs. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
