Observing the previous launches made by Micromax and Samsung, it is clear that both the companies are launching handsets almost at the same time frame. Recently, Canvas HD was launched by the India based vendor a day before the release of Samsung Galaxy Grand.
Coming to the newly launched Samsung Rex handsets, all are full touch TouchWiz and Bada OS powered handsets with customizable homescreens. Of the four handsets, Rex 70 and Rex 90 are dual SIM handsets with the True Hot Swap feature of Samsung.
As far as specs are concerned, Rex 60 has a 2.8 inch QVGA display and 1.3MP rear camera, Rex 70 has a 3 inch QVGA display and 2MP rear camera, Rex 80 comes with a 3 inch QVGA display and a 3MP camera and finally, Rex 90 has a 3.5 inch HVGA display and a 3.2MP camera.
Analyzing the duo specifications, it is clear that Micromax has come up with a better specced Android smartphone at the same price point. However, for those consumers interested in the feature phones, Samsung might be suitable.
