Micromax Canvas Colours 2 A120 Now Receiving Android 4.4 KitKat Update in India


After months of waiting, the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update is now available to the Micromax Canvas Colours 2 A120. Up until its release to the handset, the Colours 2 was only running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The Canvas Colours 2 A120 won't be the only handset under the ‘Canvas' range getting the updates. The company recently rolled Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the Canvas Knight A350 and Canvas Doodle 3 A102.

Micromax Canvas Colours 2 A120 Now Receiving Android 4.4 KitKat Update

Android 4.4 (KitKat) update brings cloud printing support, new dialer app, and performance enhancements and UI upgrade. According to reports, the KitKat over-the-air update is about 283mb and would rollout gradually throughout the week. To check for updates, you can go to settings >about phone >system update.

Micromax Canvas Colours 2 A120 - Highlighted Specifications

Originally launched in April this year, the Canvas Colours 2 A210 features 5-inch IPS display offering an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM.

In the imaging department, there's an 8MP rear-facing camera with LED Flash and a 2MP front-facing shooter as well. Internal storage capacity of the device is seated at 4GB of which only 1.61GB is user accessible memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD.

Connectivity options included in the device are 3G (HSDPA: 21Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and GPS. The makers have added a 2000mAh battery fitted inside.The phone is available at Rs.8,400.
