Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 First Pictures Leaked: Coming To Take On Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8

The original Micromax Canvas Doodle was one handset which was appreciated in the tech space for it's large 5.3-inch display, quad-core processor and a stylus. The flagship was launched as a competitor to Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Even critics went on saying "Desi Galaxy Note." Indian consumers loved the idea of bundling Evernote application for 3 months with every purchase of Canvas Doodle. However, now what's next in it's basket, which Micromax has got to offer?

Indeed, it would be wrong to say that the makers have stopped working on its successor. As yesterday, when India was celebrating its 67th Independence Day, Micromax quietly posted the coming of Canvas Doodle 2 on its official Facebook page.

The message read, "Doodle, draw, scribble or sketch! Give your imagination a bigger canvas. Canvas Doodle 2 - Coming Soon!" The message is simple and straight forward - Canvas Doodle 2 is coming soon.

Simultaneously, Twitter sensation @MMXNewscaster also leaked an alleged picture of Micromax Canvas Doodle 2. The supposed image of the sequel to Canvas Doodle sheds light on the design and form factor. And definitely, the next version of Doodle won't mimic Canvas 4.

At the same time, when GizBot went ahead to confirm our sources and it was informed that the Doodle 2 will "neither have a Full HD or 5.5-inch display, rather it's coming soon to compete with Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8." Hence, GizBot has got a confirmation that the display size would be large enough or close to Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8.

What is unclear at this point is the price of the handset, while; Canvas Doodle costs Rs. 9949, we assume that sequel should be priced around Rs. 14,990 in order to take on Galaxy Mega 5.8.
