Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: And the Better Budget Buy Tag Goes To..
With the number of smartphones currently flooding the market, there are a number of brands and devices to choose from in any category you want. So it doesn't matter if you are a low budget or a high budget guy. There's always something for everyone to look forward to.
Needless to say, the current domestic market is quite the one that's dominated by the likes of Samsung and Apple. However, there are avenues being made by the likes of Micromax and Karbonn who are also trying quite hard to catch up in this never ending race to the top.
Now two devices that are trying to do just that are the recently released Nokia X+ and Micromax's Canvas Doodle 3 handsets. Both the devices have been priced with the Indian masses in mind, and are expected to sell quite decently before the end of the current year.
While Nokia is looking to ride high on the "Nokia's first ever Android phone" tag for the X+, similar to the X offering before this, the Canvas Doodle 3 recently got through a few minor adjustments to its RAM to make the device more attractive for customers.
So, if both the devices are taken and a comparison is struck between them, who do you think will have a better chance of surviving (if not boasting grand business) the market before the current financial year ends? We take a closer look at both the devices from the specs point of view.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Operating System
While both the devices are arriving running the Android operating system, the Canvas Doodle 3 has the upper hand in this respect since it offers the official Google-based Android Jelly Bean operating system, compared to the skinned version of the Nokia X+.
Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Display and Dimensions
The Canvas Doodle 3 comes with a 6-inch capacitive display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, compared to which the Nokia X+ offers a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive display with 480 x 800 pixels, alongside dimensions measuring up to 115.5 x 63 x 10.4 mm.
Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Camera
Micromax-made Canvas Doodle 3 offering comes with a 5-megapixel primary camera with similar 2592 х 1944 pixels resolution and LED flash. There's also a secondary VGA camera present at the front of the device.
The Nokia X+, on the other hand, sports a not-so-great 3.15-megapixel primary camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The device, sadly enough, doesn't offer a front-facing secondary shooter for selfies and video chats.
Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Processor
With big new phones coming in almost everyday with heightened specs and features, it's only natural that the phones will offer a decent enough processig unit for hassle-free computing.
While the Canvas Doodle 3 comes running a dual core 1.3 GHz processor, the Nokia X+ comes equipped with a dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A5 processor (quite similar to the Nokia X before this).

Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Storage and RAM
The revamped Canvas Doodle 3 now offers 1GB of RAM while also offering the device in 4 GB internal memory variant. Apart from that, the device also supports microSD support up to 32GB externally.
The Nokia X+, however, offers a lesser 512MB of RAM while offering the device in 4 GB internal memory variant. Again, there's the option to expand the device's memory up to 32GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory is present.
Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Battery
While the Canvas Doodle 3 comes fitted with a workable 2500 mAh battery, its Nokia X+ counterpart comes fitted with a slightly lesser, yet still decent 1500mAh battery.
Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Price
While the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 has been listed with a price tag of Rs. 8,778, the Nokia X+ is set to be available at an equally affordable price tag of Rs. 8,399.
Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 Vs Nokia X+: Verdict
Both the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 and the Nokia X+, it is quite needless to say at this point, are both targeted at an audience that tries to stick to the lower segment of the market. While the Nokia X+ seems like a good phone, we are yet to see if the device indeed lands in the popularity zone.
The Doodle 3, on the other hand, has arrived in a revamped version from Micromax with 1GB of RAM, an upgrade from the previous 512MB RAM. And guessing from the fact that we are staying in this price range, the Doodle 3 is a much better option.
