The entry-level handsets are creating revolution not just in emerging nations, but in the established smartphone markets too, notably, the United Kingdom (UK) and others. India, for instance, is no stranger to affordable phones.
There the market for entry-level smartphones is on the rise. With so many brands competing against each other, the domestic vendor Micromax has been sitting on the top when it comes to popularity.
The company which recently launched its Canvas Beat in the sub-Rs. 10,000 category is expected to unveil yet another phone in the same price bracket. Dubbed the Canvas Duet AE90, the upcoming phone appears to be a downgraded version of the original Canvas Duet 2.
Popular Micromax-focused blogsite micromaxcanvas.co.in is reporting that the Canvas Knight A350 maker will soon come up with the Canvas Duet AE90 Android phone. Notably, the handset will support both CDMA and GSM SIMs.
Specs-wise, the Canvas DuetAE90 is expected to come with a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540) pixels resolution. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The phone is said to run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, plus it will come with a 1800mAh battery fitted inside.
On the camera front, there's a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED Flash, and a secondary VGA quality front-facing shooter. Unfortunately, there are no details available around the supplied RAM and internal memory.
The report, further, claims the Canvas Duet AE90 will go on sale in India shortly. It might cost Rs. 9,000 when it officially hits the retail shelves. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
