The Canvas Fun A76 is a low-end 5-inch phablet introduced by Canvas 4 maker. The handset was spotted on Flipkart and Snapdeal respectively. If you are eager to buy this very device, then Snapdeal is now selling the Canvas Fun A76 for Rs.8,499. The low end Android handset market is increasing in a rapid rate. With more and more Indian players are coming up with affordable handsets; it's a good sign for the Indian handset market.

Micromax Canvas Fun A76 is a phablet device with a 5-inch FWVGA display having resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card). It sports a 5-mega pixel rear facing camera with LED Flash light.
Also add a VGA quality front facing camera.

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The makers have added a 2000mAh Li Ion battery. Other highlighted connectivity options include: 3G, Wi-Fi, 2G, Dual SIM, A-GPS, FM Radio, and Bluetooth, among others. The makers behind Canvas Doodle 2 will announce this very device shortly.

This is not the first time, Micromax is coming with a 5-inch phablet device at an affordable price. Few months back, the Canvas HD maker launched Canvas Viva A72 in the Indian market. The phone was announced to tackle Karbonn Smart A12. We can say that the Canvas Fun A76 is a refreshed version of Viva A72.

The Canvas Viva A72 was launched in India, back in April. It comes with Canvas Viva A72 houses a 5 inch WVGA display having resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It houses a 1GHz single core processor coupled with 256MB of RAM and 110MB of ROM (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card). Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS comes out of the box. The makers have added a 2000mAh Li Ion battery. There's a 3MP rear facing camera and a VGA quality camera on the front. Other connectivity options include: 2G, No 3G, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 , A-GPS, and FM Radio, among others.

In the name of competition, there are handsets available with large displays. The Karbonn A30 is one among them. The device comes with a 5.9-inch display having resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 1GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.0 ICS. The device is priced at Rs.7549. The Lava Iris 502 is a similar priced handset with 5-inch display, 1GHz processor, and Dual SIM connectivity. The phone costs Rs.8,299. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
