Micromax, so far, was pretty silent in the market at least in terms of high-end phones and was only releasing low-end handsets with KitKat flavor. However, the company has now made its high-end handset called the Micromax Canvas Gold A300, available via online retailer Infibeam at the price of Rs. 23,999. The Micromax Canvas Gold A300 comes in White with Gold color and will likely ship in 5 to 6 days.

The handset had leaked several times in the past and we basically had a rough understanding of the handset's specs and now that it has been listed online, it does look pretty attractive. But it should be noted that the company has not officially announced the handset. But since it is listed online already the launch shouldn't be far off.

Micromax Canvas Gold A300 comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display offering a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

It is powered by a 2 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592T processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS.

The Canvas Gold A300 could also make an amazing imaging device as it sports a 16MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and also an impressive 5MP front-facing shooter.

Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and it is a Dual SIM handset.

One thing that the company has incredibly used in the device is a huge 32GB of internal memory of which 25GB is for mass storage and 1.5 GB for applications. It is powered by a 2300 mAh battery.

The smartphone will have to rival against a number of handsets in the Indian market. Among others, Gionee Elife E7, Moto X, LG L90, Xperia T2 Ultra and Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ could be a couple of potential competitors.
