Micromax Canvas Knight 2 vs Intex Aqua 4G+: The Battle of Desi 4G Phones
The Indian smartphone market has already crowded with affordable smartphone like Moto G, Xiaomi Redmi Note and Micromax's Canvas series smartphones and now with the launch of two new 4G smartphone by Micromax and Intex has joined the league.

Micromax has launched the Canvas Knight 2, the company's first 4G enabled smartphone, while Intex has come up with a new addition to its Aqua series dubbed as Aqua 4G+. Both Micromax and Intex are Indian smartphone makers and has introduced 4G enabled smartphone in India. At this point, we are looking at Micromax Canvas Knight 2 and Intex Aqua 4G+ smartphone compared against each other.

Display
Both smartphone sports 5 inch display at 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, along with different glass protection on top. Micromax Canvas Knight 2 sports a 5 inch HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. While the Intex Aqua 4G+ also features a 5 inch HD display with Dragon Trial Glass protection.
Processor And OS
The Canvas Knight 2 is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core processor by Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC paired with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. While the Aqua 4G+ is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735 processor and paired with 2GB of RAM.
Both smartphones operates on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
Camera
The Micromax Canvas Knight 2 comes with a 13 megapixel auto-focus rear camera featuring a Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor and a Largon 5P lens. The smartphone comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with an Omnivision OV5648 sensor with the same lens.

On the other hand, Intex Aqua 4G+ also holds a 13 megapixel auto-focus rear camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. The camera comes with features like flash, digital zoom, mulit shot, night vision, single touch camera operation etc.
Features, Apps and Connectivity
The Canvas Knight 2 comes with preloaded apps like CleanMaster, App Center, Snapdeal, SwiftKey, Chaatz, Newshunt, Quikr and Hotstar apps.
While, the Aqua 4G+ comes with features like Auto Call Record, FM recording and power management. The Aqua 4G+ comes with pre-loaded apps like Matrabhasha app, which supports 21 regional languages to the smartphone. Along with the language support, the device comes with Intex Zone, Intex Play, Opera Mini, Olx, Intex Service, Newshunt and Askme.

Apart from 4G connectivity, both smartphones comes with standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi with hotspot functionaliy, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and FM radio.
Battery
The Canvas Knight 2 is packed with a 2260mAh battery, which the company claims to deliver up to 7 hours and 45 minutes of talk time, and 335 hours of standby time. While the Aqua 4G+ comes with bigger 2300mAh battery, but it is said that it will last up to 7 to 8 hours of talk time and 210 hours of standby time.
Verdict
Well, both smartphone comes with similar specifications and somewhat similar features and pre-installed application. Micromax Canvas Knight 2 and Intex Aqua 4G+ have their own strengths to attract the buyers.
The Canvas Knight 2 camera with Sony's CMOS sensor makes a better option, while Aqua 4G+ comes with bundle of pre-loaded apps and notable the support of 21 regional languages makes a big deal.

Price is also another factor to focus on, the Canvas Knight 2 is available for Rs. 16,299 and the Aqua 4G+ comes with a lesser price tag of Rs. 9,499.
