Micromax Canvas Nitro has got a whole lot sweeter - at least for consumers who had skipped buying the device earlier this year. The Canvas Nitro is still very solid smartphone and now it has got a storage bump.
Of course, this was least expected but Micromax has quietly launched the Canvas Nitro with 16GB of native storage. The handset, which carries the model number A311, offers 16GB of native storage, instead of 8GB present in Canvas Nitro A310.
Although Micromax did not provide an exact timeline, the new variant is expected to roll out in the coming weeks. Other highlighted specifications remain unchanged. Also, the handset's retail price remains a mystery to date.
Micromax Canvas Nitro A311 - Specifications
Micromax Canvas Nitro A310 sports a 5-inch IPS display offering an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
It is powered by an octa core MediaTek 6592 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz with Mali 450 GPU tuned at 700MHz. The handset offers a modest 2GB RAM and it comes with Android 4.4.2 out of the box. It also uses a microSD card for memory expansion.
In the camera department, the device comes with a 13MP Auto Focus rear camera with LED flash and 5MP fixed focus front facing snapper.
Other connectivity options include: 3G/2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual-SIM, among others. The Canvas Nitro costs Rs. 11,990.
Micromax Canvas Express Goes Official in India
The Delhi-NCR based company recently unveiled a new budget phone in India. Dubbed as the Canvas Express, the handset is now on sale exclusively at Flipkart. The device sports a 4.5-inch display; 1.3GHz quad-core processor; 1GB of RAM; 8GB of internal memory; microSD card support; 1950mAh battery; Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The phone has been priced at Rs. 6,999.
