Micromax Canvas Power to Arrive with Massive 4000 mAh Battery

By Prarthito

Haryana, India-based smartphone heavyweight Micromax has been in news unlike any other handset manufacturer in India, primarily due to the fact that the company has been on a role and has been releasing smart devices left and right.

Now, once again, the company is filling up the internet with reports of a new device it's set to release in the upcoming days, dubbed Micromax Canvas Power. However, the most interesting thing about the device is the fact that it is being said to sport a huge and powerful 4000 mAh battery - far more than what smartphones normally offer these days.

Website Micromax Canvas recently posted an image for the same showing that the device, on release, will indeed be sporting a 4000 mAh battery with "talk time of whopping 13.5 hours and stand by time of 400 hours." And if this actually falls true eventually, it alone will be enough to put a lot of other manufacturers, currently operating in the Indian domestic market, to shame.

The report for the same states that the Micromax Canvas Power A96 "is especially built for the purpose of long battery life. Battery is the life line of the android phone, usually android phones do not provide better options in terms of battery life. And keeping this thing in mind Micromax is ready with Canvas Power."

And while all of this has to be taken with a pinch of salt since nothing can be said specifically at this point, as far as in-device specifications are concerned, it is being said that the device will arrive with a 5-inch display and will be running on Android 4.2 Jelly bean.

Apart from that, the Micromax Canvas Power A96 is said to to be powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor with 1GB of internal RAM and 4GB internal memory - which can be further expanded up to another 32 GB via microSD. There's also a 5-megapixel primary snapper at the rear, and a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front talking care of the photography department.
