Micromax Launches Cyanogen Yureka With Octa-core CPU, 4G at Rs 8,999

After conducting a major campaign via the social media, the Indian based handset manufacturer Micromax has launched its latest Yu branded smartphone powered by Cyanogen, in New Delhi today. Dubbed as Yureka, it is crafted with a 5.5-inch HD display and has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass3.

Yureka is clocked by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 Octa-Core processor with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and Adreno-405 GPU.

Further on, Yureka also supports 16GB of built-in storage with expansion slot of upto 32GB and runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android Kitkat 4.4.4 which could be upgraded to Android Lollipop 5.0 in the future. Cyanogen promises to roll out Over-the-Air(OTA) updates for the Micromax Yureka on a monthly basis.

It is employed with a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, Sony Exmor R sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p at 30fps, 720p slow motion at 60fps, 5MP front snapper OmniVision 5648 sensor, 4P lenses, 71-degree wide viewing angle.

Moreover, this dual SIM smartphone supports CAT 4G LTE up to 150mbps, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and is powered by a mega 2500mAh battery. Micromax is offering various service options for its users, for example if a problem is noticed by a user or is being notified by the device itself, the customer service will arrive at your doorstep at the earliest possible. Such gestures makes Micromax a unique brand in the Indian smartphone market.

Priced at Rs. 8,999, Micromax Yureka comes in moonstone finish and the registration starts on 19th December, at 2PM and it will be exclusively available on Amazon.in. Micromax proposed to offer a hand-made leather cover for free during the first registration of sales as a Santa gift. It comes with unlockable boot loader and provides warranty even if the phone has been rooted. It will also release the kernel source codes.
