Sony launched two smartphones on March 18 that are set to be released into the global market in Q2 2013.

Of the duo, Xperia SP packs a 4.6 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 1.7GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera for video calling, 8GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, NFC and a 2,370 mAh battery.

At the same time, Xperia L boasts a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 8GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, NFC and a 1,750 mAh battery.

Micromax Bolt A51

Micromax has come up with an Android smartphone - Bolt A51 with entry-level specifications for the budget oriented consumers. Based on Gingerbread OS, the handset has been spotted online and is estimated to be priced below Rs 4,000.

As far as specs are concerned, Bolt A51 packs a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, 832MHz processor, Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread, 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera for video calling, 512MB internal storage, 256MB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 16GB additional storage, Bluetooth, 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi and a 1,500 mAh battery offering up to 4.5 hours talk time.

Karbonn Titanium S5

Karbonn Titanium S5

Karbonn has officially announced the launch of a phablet - Titanium S5 at Rs 11,990. Titanium S5 boasts a 5 inch qHD multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 2,000 mAh battery. As of now, there is no word on the internal storage support, but it is expected to be around 4GB as in other budget phablets.

Karbonn has also launched two entry-level smartphones based on Android OS - A3 and A4 at Rs 3,600 and Rs 4,990 respectively.

Karbonn A3 comes with a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread Os, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 256MB RAM, 155MB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,400 mAh battery.

When it comes to Karbonn A4, the handset boasts a 4.0 inch capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, 3.2MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 256MB RAM, 104MB Internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with micro SD card slot, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,400 mAh battery.

Lava seems have launched a smartphone online - Xolo B700 at Rs 8,999. Xolo B700 sports a 4.3 inch qHD IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1GHz dual core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera for video calling, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and a 3,450 mAh battery with 20 hours talk time and 363 hours standby.

Celkon has launched A119 Signature HD, a Canvas HD competitor at Rs 13,499. A119 Signature HD features a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen with 720p resolution, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 12MP rear camera, 3MP front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and a 2,100mAh battery.

Lava Arc 8c, Arc 3

Lava Arc 8c, Arc 3

Lava has launched two feature phones - Arc 8c and Arc 3 in the sub Rs 1,800 price range. Arc 8c boasts a 2.2 inch display with a resolution of 220 x 176 pixels, 0.3MP rear camera, FM Radio, micro SD card slot supporting up to 8GB storage and an 1,000 battery delivering 5 hours talk time. The handset seems to be single SIM device with CDMA support. On the other hand, the GSM offering - Arc 3 comes with similar specifications as Arc 8.
