There are number of smartphone makers across the globe but only handful of them are getting into a wearable market. Samsung is one among the few smart-wearable device makers that have already treated the market with its Galaxy Gear watch, the Gear 2 and Gear Fit devices. While Sony also launched its Smartwatch, which didn't do much good in the market.

Micromax To Enter Wearable Market Soon

This year is proclaimed by many as the year of wearable devices and India's best smartphone maker-- Micromax is now reportedly said to enter the wearable market soon. The company's newly appointed Chairman Sanjay Kapoor in an interview with The Times Of India stated that Micromax could expand its offerings beyond smartphones and tablets and foray into wearable devices and machine-to-machine products.

Kapoor, further reportedly said that, "Data is the most potent platform of connectivity now. However, its proliferation is at a very nascent stage. Data growth has to happen over the five pillars of access, storage, analytics, application & content, and finally devices. We at Micromax are going to build all our vision and efforts around these five areas."
