Two devices, in this category, trying to match the capabilities of others in the same boat are the new Micromax-made Win W092 handset and the previously released, yet the very popular Nokia Lumia 520.

This is Micromax's (and any Indian company, for that matter) first ever venture into the Windows Phone areana with the Win W092, after its success in the Android domain. The Nokia Lumia 520, on the other hand, has been there for quite some time now and has also become somewhat popular among users.

So if we were to take both these devices into contention for a while leaving all other out of it, where do you think both of them would stand against each other? We take a closer look.

Micromax Win W092 Vs Nokia Lumia 520: Operating System
There's isn't any real difference in this respect since both of them run on the official Microsoft-made Windows Phone operating system. However, the Micromax Win W092 scores an upper hand since it runs on the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS, compared to the WP8 Black of the Lumkia 520 (obviously after the upgrade from WP8).

The Micromax Win W121 adopts a 4-inch form factor, apart from offering an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The Nokia Lumia 520, on the other hand, offers dimesions of 119.9 x 64 x 9.9 mm, with the device sporting a similar 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The device also offers a lesser 480 x 800 pixel resolution.

The Micromax Win W092, in terms of camera, offers a 5-megapixel primary camera with 2592 х 1944 pixels resolution, alongside an LED flash. There's also a secondary VGA front-facing camera for all your selfie needs.

The Nokia Lumia 520, on the other hand, sports a similar 5-megapixel primary camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 2592 х 1936 pixels, with autofocus. The device, however, doesn't have a secondary camera, so no selfies or video chat in this respect.

As expected, both the devices offer decent processing powers in terms of their own specified price tags. While the Micromax Win W092 sports a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, the Nokia Lumia 520 comes with a 1 GHz dual-core processor.

The Micromax Win W092, in this respect, offers 1GB of RAM with the devcie arriving in an 8GB internal memory variant. Also, there's the option to expand the device's memory up to 32GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory has been provided.

The Nokia Lumia 520, on the other hand, offers not really an eye-catching 512MB of RAM while offering the device in an 8GB internal memory variant. Also, the device's memory can be further extended upto 64GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory is also present.

While the Micromax Win W092 juices up the Windows Phone 8.1-powered device via a 1500 mAh battery, the Nokia Lumia 630 is powered by a lesser 1430 mAh battery.

While the Micromax Win W121 is set to be available with a price tag of Rs. 6,500, the Nokia Lumia 630 is available at a price of Rs. 7,499.

As we said before, the Windows Phone operating system still has some time before it really catches up with the likes of Android and iOS. However, in this respect, we have to say that in terms of pocket-friendliness and upgradation, the Micromax Win W092 has a better chance of taking the upper hand with its latest Windows Phone 8.1 offering and cheaper price.
