New Micromax X222 Launched
Micromax X222 is designed to operate on 2 GSM SIMs (900/1800 MHz) at a time and it's a touch phone of 92 x 52 x 14 mm compact dimensions. A 6cm (2.4 inch) LCD touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels, will make you want to touch it again and again because it's that's much enticing and the display is pretty decent too. Those who expect high for the camera specifications in Micromax X222 will be disappointed because it has only a 0.3 Megapixel (VGA) camera. But the image quality isn't half bad though. It's far better than the images captured by 2 megapixels cameras of certain handsets. With just these features itself, X222 is already gaining a lot of attention from the youth, for which it's actually designed in the first place.
The audio and video players are pretty much up to the mark.
Micromax handsets have good audio quality. Audio output is okay too but not too great. The X222 is charged by a 900 mAh Lithium ion battery and Micromax handsets usually comes with great battery backup and stand by time. It offers 6 hours continuous talk time and for about 157 hours, the phone will do okay in standby mode. This much for an affordable price is pretty awesome, compared to many other affordable handsets with limited battery backup. Data sharing won't be a problem with the Bluetooth connectivity. It has an FM Radio feature as well designed to reduce white noises. The audio player supports major audio formats (amr, wma, mp3), and the video player can play videos fine but only 3GPP formats. Video recording is not that good, as you can't expect much from a VGA camera.
Storage capacity can be extended at will but only up to 8 GB, which is quite catchy for a low priced new mobile handset and the memory cards used are Micro SD cards which has become the standard memory card and is featured in a lot of new mobile handsets nowadays. X222 weighs about 83 grams.
A cool and cute new mobile handset with such features is definitely desirable and the price makes it more so, as Micromax X222 has a price in India at about Rs 2500/-.
