Micromax Yu Yuphoria Receives Android Lollipop 5.0.2 Based Cyanogen 12 Update

Micromax's subsidiary Yu Televentures has announced that it will be rolling out the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 update for its Yu Yureka smartphone.

The LTe supporting Yu Yureka was launched by the Micromax-owned company in January this year with the Android 4.4 KitKat-based Cyanogen 11 OS onboard.

It was only last month than an Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Cyanogen 12 OS version was launched for it after a number of delays in its release.

The update brings usual bug fixes and improved features as a part of Lollipop family in addition to improved battery performance for Yu Yureka.

The size of the update is 130 MB and will be delivered to users via Over-the-Air (OTA). Yu Yureka users can check for the update manually by going to Settings>About phone> Software update.

Yu Televentures recently took the veil off its new Yuphoria smartphone which is quite an attractive device; on paper at least. It runs the Cyanogen 12 OS and features a metal frame on its exterior. Its other highlights include a 5-inch HD display, an 8MP rear camera, a Snapdragon 410 chipset for Rs. 6,999.
