Motorola EX225 Vs HTC ChaCha Head To Head Comparison
Both ChaCha and EX225 sport capacitive touchscreen but the display is a bit bigger in the ChaCha and is of 2.6 inches while that of the Motorola EX225 is only 2.4 inches. Besides, ChaCha use Gorilla kind glassy display which makes its screen more durable than that of EX225. Both of them are facebook dedicated handsets as well featuring a dedicated Facebook button. The operating systems in which these handsets run are still not revealed. But reportedly ChaCha will be running on Android v2.3 Gingerbread while there are still speculations that EX225 will be running in an OS of BREW platform.
One of the most significant features which makes ChaCha more dominant is its 3G compatibility which the EX225 doesn't have. Both handsets support GSM SIMs of 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 frequencies. The processor specifications remain a mystery for the EX225 while HTC ChaCha is powered by an 800 MHz processor, but of which company is still unknown. ChaCha comes in Black and Silver colours while EX225 is available only in Black. These bar phones have cool QWERTY keyboards which respond to key taps pretty well.
The Camera specifications seems to be giving an edge to ChaCha as it is equipped with a 5 Megapixel LED Flash camera at the rear with 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution maximum while EX225 has a smaller camera of 3.2 Megapixels offering up to 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. It is believed to lack a secondary camera but ChaCha possesses a VGA front camera for video conferencing purposes.
The video recording features of ChaCha supports up to 30 fps and supports Mp4, H.264, WMV, 3GP, 3G2 video formats while that of the Motorola EX225 supports only Mp4 and H.263 video formats. It'd most probably support 3GP files as well but that hasn't been confirmed yet. With 512 MB RAM, ChaCha supports up to 32 GB memory for microSD cards. EX225 features the same with microSD cards.
Bluetooth feature is far enhanced in ChaCha as it features v3.0 Bluetooth with A2DP while the Motorola has only v2.1 A2DP Bluetooth version. ChaCha is GPRS and EDGE compatible and features WiFi hotspot supporting 802.11 b/g/n hi speed WiFi. EX225 reportedly supports only GPRS and EDGE. Comparatively EX225 is no match for ChaCha when it comes to specifications but for the price tag, it's different.
HTC ChaCha has price in India at about Rs 14,000/- while Motorola EX225's price in India details remain unknown. But it's expected to be at a price range between Rs 8,000/- and Rs 10,000/-.
