Motorola Moto G Hands-on And First Look: The Best Your Pocket-Money Can Buy
The biggest single advantage that favors Moto G is the stock Android experience. Not a single handset under Rs. 20,000 price tag comes with pure Android out of the box. With the Moto G, you get a chance to experience Google ecosystem in possibly better manner. The Indian version of Moto G runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. Motorola claims that in the coming days the phone can be updated to Android 4.4 Kitkat. In a brief time spent with the device, we haven't faced a single lag. That's all matter at the end.

Like its running software, we were clean bowled by the internal hardware. Of course it's not the best, but surely great for running apps and playing mid level games. The device runs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB/16GB of internal storage.
Camera
On the camera front, the Moto G incorporates a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED Flash. You will also notice a basic front-facing shooter. The rear-facing camera is not great as per out standards when we compared it to Nokia Lumia 1320.
Since both handsets have a 5MP camera resolution, we thought it would be a great idea to compare sample pictures side-by-side. But Moto G picture quality was just average compared to the Lumia 1320 camera; therefore, we would say that the camera is just average. However, the camera user interface (UI) is fantastic with less possible clutter.
But good thing, you can use gestures to click a picture. You need to tap anywhere on the screen when taking a shot. It's as simple as that.
On the downside, the Moto G lacks expandable storage, a big problem for consumers residing in India. The device comes in two storage capacities - 8GB and 16GB. Although Motorola and Google will offers cloud storage facility, but hey we are still living India, where internet connectivity is a big issue.
Battery
Motorola claims that the Moto G will last throughout the day. The device comes fitted with a 2070mAh battery. We hope the battery will last at least for 14 hours on a moderate use, we would do some battery test in our main review to prove this claim. Another winning point of Moto G is that it comes with dual-SIM connectivity support.
Conclusion
Last but not the least, the Moto G is perfect for the emerging nations. At Rs. 12,499 (8GB), the phone is already a winner. GizBot would like to recommend the Moto G and we are not this saying under any pressure. Go for it!
