Refreshing on a bit on the specs, launched last year; Moto G comes with a 4.5-inch screen with an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and churns out a competitive pixel density of 329 ppi.
It is powered by an average performing 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with a 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean, with a guaranteed upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat just weeks after launch. However, it doesn't feature any major UI customization features. But Motorola has promised early access to Android updates on Moto G.
Camera-wise, there is a presence of a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, auto-focus which is capable of shooting pics at 2592х1944 pixels quality. Also it has HDR mode. In the front, there is a 1.3MP front-facing snapper which is sufficient for making video calls and taking selfies.
As said earlier, the smartphone comes in two variants depending on the on-board memory which is 8GB and 16GB. The Moto G is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) smartphone and comes with an array of connectivity options like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The device which measures 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm and weighs 143 grams draws its energy from a Non-removable Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery which according to the company will offer a mixed usage of up to 24 hours.
The best part of the handset is that it has been offered at the best price point and coming from Google's house, it surely comes with the support for latest Android updates.
Moreover, the only problem the customers are bothered about as of now, is regarding the service centers. But there is no need to worry about that as well because, recently the list of locations were leaked by FoneArena, which shows a number of upcoming Motorola service centers in India. Motorola has used a Water Repellant Coating in the device which means that the device will be able to handle a few splashes and spills. However, we don't recommend that you take your phone with you when you go diving. At this price point, it is a generous addition to the smartphone from the company.

The moment you start the Moto G smartphone, an app dubbed as 'Migrate', will help you instantly transfer all the essential data from your old phone, like contacts and others, onto your new phone without much fuss.
The phone will come with Motorola's Assist app as well. It suggests actions to automate tasks, based on how you use your device. It allows you to automatically reply to texts when you're driving, silence your ringer during meetings, and more. All in all, based on your usage, the phone learns about your behavior so that it can serve your needs better, according to Motorola.

The Moto G has loaded a new app that has nothing on the screen, which looks cleaner. All it shows is the image that you're clicking, serving as a view finder. So by clicking anywhere on the screen, you get to snap a picture. Hold your finger down on the screen and the camera will click a burst of images. A few other simple options will allow you to get into HDR, video and other modes.

The handset will be coming with DUAL SIM capabilities. Another important feature that will help Motorola win the appreciation of Indian smartphone users.
#5
Motorola is allowing users to choose from 7 colors of changeable back shells. The colors are bright, radiant and will help your phone stand out among the crowd.
