Motorola Moto G2 Leaks Online Yet Again: Might Launch On September 5 in India

The picture was then apparently posted on Twitter by Saurabh Patil. Along with the tweet that you can see below:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet blockquote" data-cards="hidden" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MotoG2?src=hash">#MotoG2</a> package from Flipkart Warehouse.. It'll be still called as <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MotoG?src=hash">#MotoG</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/MotorolaIndia">@MotorolaIndia</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/Shin2_D">@Shin2_D</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/Gizmo_Lord">@Gizmo_Lord</a> <a href="http://t.co/Ol0e0yiyCF">pic.twitter.com/Ol0e0yiyCF</a></p>— Saurabh Patil (@iSaurabh28) <a href="https://twitter.com/iSaurabh28/statuses/506496510293327872">September 1, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>Anyways, that just the retail box and if the image is to be taken seriously, than it is sure that the device will be named the same way - the Moto G. The retail box doesn't mention anything like Moto G2 but just Moto G. This might probably mean that Motorola is upgrading just the specs of the phone.
And since Motorola has also scheduled an event in India on September 5th, you can ecxpect the handset to go official at the same day.

As far as the specs are concerned, the upcoming successor of the Moto G is expected to sport a 5.0-inch 720p HD Display. It should be powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor (Likely Snapdragon 400 or 410) coupled with 1GB of RAM. Obviously, it will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS. It will house 8/16GB of internal storage and microSD card.
Imaging department will be most probably handled by an 8 Megapixel rear camera and a 1.3MP front facing snapper. Perhaps, the Mot G2 will also be launched in two variants - a regular single SIM variant and a Dual-SIM (outside the US) model. Also there would be a 4G LTE variant of the Moto G2 smartphone.
However, this is not the only smartphone that Motorola is currently planning to launch within this year but at the same time, the copmany will also soon announce the Moto X+1, which is a successor of the Moto X smartphone.
Until the September 5th event kicks off, you can hold on to the aforementioned specs of the Moto G2 smartphone.
