    MTS launches new Android CDMA smartphone MTag 401 for Rs 9,000

     

    MTS, which is a renowned CDMA service provider, launched a new Android smartphone MTag 401 with several interesting features. Apart from the phone features, MTS is bundling attractive usage packages including unlimited calls (intra-network) and data usage for a period of 3 months. This will be made available in all MTS outlets soon.

    MTS MTag 401 is the fourth Android handset from the company. The new phone was critical for MTS as the first phone has become too old and other two were low cost devices. MTS expects the new phone to keep their customers happy and attract new customers, as well. MTag 401 features a 4 inch capacitive touch display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It is being rated as one of the best looking CDMA phone as its design is pretty impressive. It has a curved base giving a curvy look. Users can use the three capacitive buttons including menu, home and return without any slips.

    MTS MTag 401 comes bundled with a TV application allowing users with options to watch Live TV with access to about 100 channels. A Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor with an operating frequency 800 MHz powers this CDMA phone. It works on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and unfortunately the phone cannot be upgraded to ICS version. The 1700 mAh battery offers decent operating time too for the MTS handset.
