MTS Unveils MTag 353 at Rs 5,999: Will the new Android Smartphone Outdo Micromax Superfone A87 Ninja 4?

MTS, the telecom operator in India unveiled three Android smartphones – MTag 351, MTag 352 and MTag 281 in August. Now, the teleco has come up with another budget Android smartphone dubbed as MTag 353.

At the launch event, Leonid Musatov, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, MTS India was quoted saying, "MTS MTag 353 is yet another class leading and one of the most stylish Smartphone from MTS. The Smartphone is powered by the best in class Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. Aimed at the on the move, tech savvy youth, it comes bundled with exciting High Speed Data and Voice plans."

Here are the detailed specifications of the MTS MTag 353.

Display: The handset sports a 3.5 inch capacitive multi-touch HVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.

Processor: MTag 353 packs an 800MHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under its hood.

Operating System: Being a budget smartphone, the handset runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, which is an older version of the platform.

Camera: On the camera front, MTag 353 sports a 3MP rear camera and lacks a front facing camera for video calling.

Storage: MTag 353 is equipped with 150MB internal storage, 256MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, with a 2GB card in the box.

Connectivity:In terms of connectivity, MTag 353 has features including WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Mobile Hot Spot and A-GPS.

Battery: The handset is loaded with a 1,500 mAh Li-ion battery delivering 4 hours talk time and 150 hours standby.
