Chinese-based smartphone manufacturers have made themselves to fit in the Top 10 rank list of smartphone vendors. The Chinese smartphone vendors are offering tempting hardware for almost half price by mainstream manufacturers.

But, there is still a massive market for unbranded or low quality smartphone from Chinese vendors. These low quality smartphone comes with somewhat similar display size and design. But, you need to compromise for premium features while getting these one. Here are some tips to consider before buying a cheap Chinese handset.

Many Chinese-based handset are probably not intended for use in other regions. Which means the network bands used might not support the carrier. For instance, China's TD-SCDMA network, is like local 3G WCDMA standard and is designed to work only in China.

The devices are imported directly from China, and it is quite likely to arrive with a local power plug, which will not work for power sockets in India. However, you need to buy and adapter or just charge them using USB.
