Acer Launches Super ZX and ZX Pro Smartphones in India, Starting at ₹9,990

After years of absence, Acer has officially re-entered the Indian smartphone space with two new models—the Super ZX and Super ZX Pro. The phones are priced at ₹9,990 and ₹17,990 respectively and will be available on Amazon India starting April 25.

Two Models, Different Audiences

The Acer Super ZX is targeted at users seeking entry-level performance with current-gen display specs. It features a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and supports up to 8GB of RAM, with virtual memory expansion for an additional 8GB. The phone has a 5000mAh battery and a 64MP Sony LYTIA rear sensor, accompanied by 2MP macro and depth cameras. The front camera is 13MP.

The Super ZX Pro pushes slightly higher in terms of performance and features. It comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, also with 120Hz refresh rate, and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. RAM goes up to 12GB, again with virtual RAM support. It features UFS 4.1 storage, an IP64 rating, and Acer’s internal thermal cooling system, hinting at a focus on sustained performance.

Camera specs on the Pro model include a 50MP Sony IMX882 rear sensor with OIS, 5MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro cameras. The front camera is also 50MP, capable of 2K video recording.

A Competitive Segment

The sub-₹20,000 smartphone category is already crowded, with devices from Xiaomi, iQOO, and Realme offering similar specs. Acer’s re-entry will likely depend on more than hardware—software updates, build quality, and after-sales service will be key to long-term traction.
