An unannounced Acer smartphone, called the Acer S59, paid a visit to the GFXBench benchmark, which has revealed its features and specs details. This seems to be a mid-range smartphone, which will be targeted at selfie lovers, considering that it will sport a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
As for other specifications and details, the GFXBench benchmark reveals the Acer S59 will feature a 5-inch HD display offering a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, which translates to a pixel density of 294ppi. The phone will be powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core chipset with 64-bit architecture, clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with Mali-T720 GPU. There will be 2GB of RAM inside, paired with 16GB of internal storage.
Speaking of camera, which could be the main attraction of the phone, there will dual 13-megapixel snappers, each on front and rear side. Both cameras will come with 4K video recording capabilities.
Connectivity options will include 4G LTE (Cat 4), NFC, GPS, WI-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
Though there is no word on its launch and price, it is likely that Acer launches the phone at IFC in September.
