After GFXBench Nokia 9 spotted running Android Oreo in Geekbench

And the new Geekbench listing seemingly confirms some of the features and specs of Nokia 9 that we have already seen earlier, thanks to the leaks and rumors. Nonetheless, the main feature of Nokia 9 seems to be its software. While previous reports did suggest that it would come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box now, the benchmark listing suggests that it may ship with Android Oreo instead. Besides, the appearance on Geekbench also means that HMD is testing the Android Oreo build for the upcoming flagship smartphone.

Getting straight into the Geekbench listing, Nokia 9 seems to come with either 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is coupled with 4GB of RAM, Adreno 540 GPU, and 64GB of inbuilt storage. If you consider previous reports then Nokia 9 could come in more than one RAM/ storage variant - 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Apart from this, the listing shows that the smartphone is equipped with a dual camera setup which will include a 12-megapixel sensor (both could be 12 MP sensors) with 4K video recording capabilities. It also shows a 12-megapixel front camera capable of recording 4K UHD videos. Earlier reports had said that the rear camera setup would come with two 13-megapixel sensors along with an LED flash and Zeiss camera technology.

Well, that is pretty much we can make out from the new benchmark listing. Other features expected to come with Nokia 9 include a fingerprint scanner, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, Quick Charge support, and an iris scanner.

In any case, considering all the leaks that we have come across till now, it looks like Nokia 9 will be a premium category smartphone and feature top-of-the-line specifications. HMD Global is yet to give its official word on this smartphone but when it does we will definitely update you on the same.
