AI+ NxtQuantum OS v1.1 Update Brings New Privacy Dashboard, Data Security Features: List of Eligble Devices

Homegrown smartphone brand Ai+ has announced the rollout of NxtQuantum OS v1.1 for its smartphones, with the latest software update focusing on privacy, security and greater transparency around app access. The company says the update gives users more control over permissions and visibility into background activity.

Ai+ launched NxtQuantum OS in 2025 as an India-developed mobile operating system focused on data sovereignty and privacy. The company says user data is stored within India on MeitY-empanelled Google Cloud infrastructure.

NxtQuantum OS v1.1 Features

One of the key additions is the NxtPrivacy Dashboard, which brings app permissions into a single interface. Users can review, modify and revoke permissions for sensitive resources, including the camera, microphone, location, gallery, contacts and clipboard.

The dashboard was initially introduced as a real-time privacy control centre, with features such as one-tap permission management, privacy alerts and an AI-powered privacy score.

NxtQuantum OS v1.1 also improves visibility into background app activity. Users can see when applications access sensitive resources even when they are not actively being used. The system can also flag permissions that may be excessive, unnecessary or no longer required.

India-First Data Routing

Ai+ says the updated security framework is designed around domestic data routing. According to the company, application traffic and IP pings remain within India, while international traffic is restricted to essential Google core services hosted in California and Singapore.

The company further claims its perimeter-security framework automatically analyses source rules across more than 1,000 connections and 172 unique destination IP addresses.

Ai+ is also using its Project Open Review 2.0 initiative to allow independent technical journalists, ethical hackers, creators and security researchers to examine its devices and report potential vulnerabilities before wider software deployment.

Ai+ Smartphones Getting the Update

Ai+ currently sells smartphones under its Nova and Pulse series, including the Nova 2 Pro 5G, Nova 2 Neo 5G, Nova 2 Ultra 5G, Nova 2 5G, Nova Flip 5G and Pulse 2.

The company has yet to announce an exact NxtQuantum OS v1.1 rollout schedule for each model.
