Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone India launch scheduled for October 20: Key specs and features

This time of the year is the favorite of most OEMs to launch their devices in India in order to encash on the festivity. Amid much hullaboo in the mobile industry, Alcatel is now all set to create a buzz with its new flagship device, the OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone in India.

The company has rolled out invite for the launch of its second generation variant of the last year's OneTouch Flash smartphone. The OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone was globally announced a month back, and will be unveiled in India on October 20.

The OneTouch Flash 2 is a camera centric mid-range smartphone that packs in an interesting set of features and specifications. Here are its Key specifications and features:

Starting with the major highlight, the smartphone flaunts a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL Sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens with blue glass optical filter, 80-degree wide angle, and 1080P video recording capabilities. The camera features Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) that is capable of focusing on the subject in just 0.3 seconds, as per company claims. For selfie enthusiasts, the phone has a 5MP front-facing camera with Soft LED flash, OV5648 1/4″ sensor, and f/2.2 aperture.

The smartphone features a 5-inch HD display accommodating a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, giving way to a pixel density of 294 ppi along, and with 178-degree viewing angle. Inside the phone, an Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor ticks in at 1.3GHz, paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. To store content, the smartphone is equipped with 16GB of inbuilt memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

In terms of software, the smartphone is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop with native UI running atop. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, and 4G LTE connectivity on both the SIMs, besides the standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The phone is powered by 3000mAh battery.

The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 was announced in Volcanic Grey and Mica White colors. The phone will be available on Flipkart in India.
