French manufacturer Alcatel may not be a household name like Xiaomi and Micrax in India, but the OEM does make some decent devices. The company is teasing to launch a device dubbed Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 which is nine other than the successor to the OneToucb Flash available in India.
The OneTouch Flash 2 is expected to launch around the end of this month. Just like most Alcatel devices out there this device too is expected to launch globally. But the time when it starts rolling into India is yet to be seen.
Not much is know about the device as of now. However the teaser states that the device will sport a 5 inch HD (1280x720) display - which is in contrary to the 5.5 inch found in the OneTouch Flash. The OneTouch Flash available at Rs 7,499 in India packs in quite decent specification under the hood. So we are expecting that it's successor would be launched with mildly bumped up specs.
Just to recall the OneTouch Flash boasts of a 1.4GHZ Octacore Mediatek 6592M SoC under the hood along with 2GB of RAM. Internal storage available is 8GB. Handling the optics is a 13MP rear and a 5MP front camera. Despite being adequately powerful for a device priced under 8K, the Mediatek 6592M is quite old.
Anlaysts at Gizbot believe that the company is likely to bundle in a MT6752 into the device. This SoC has gained immense popularity in the mid range and we think Alcatel won't prefer using something different. As for the storage the chances are that the OneTouch Flash 2 may come with a 16GB storage. But do note that these are mere calculated guesses.
Nothing is official as of yet though. We will update you as soon as we receive more info regarding the device.
