Alcatel Partners With Flipkart to Sell Smartphones in India
Alcatel has announced its return to the Indian market, collaborating with Flipkart for device sales. A dedicated microsite has also gone live on the e-commerce site. The French company plans to introduce a variety of new products, starting with a smartphone featuring a stylus. While the price range for this phone is not specified, similar devices typically belong to the premium category.
The commitment of Alcatel to the Indian market extends beyond just selling its smartphones. The company has made a significant announcement that it will manufacture all its smartphones in India right from the start. This decision underscores Alcatel's dedication to contributing to the 'Make in India' initiative and highlights its long-term vision for its operations in the country.

Moreover, Alcatel is set to expand its portfolio with the introduction of a series of premium smartphones. This indicates the brand's ambition to establish a strong presence in the premium segment of the Indian smartphone market.
Ahead of its official launch in India, Alcatel has already listed at least four budget smartphones on Flipkart as 'Coming Soon’. These models include the Alcatel Idol 4, Alcatel U5 HD, Alcatel 3X, and Alcatel Onetouch Flash 6042D. Although these devices are not new, they're not available in the Indian market.
This strategic partnership with Flipkart and the decision to manufacture locally demonstrate Alcatel's commitment to the Indian market. With a range of devices from budget to premium, including the innovative stylus-equipped smartphone, Alcatel aims to capture the attention of Indian consumers and carve a niche for itself in the competitive smartphone industry.
