Samsung outs Q2 2015 Financial results, May Launch a New, Bigger Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Soon
Since the inception of online only brands of Chinese counterparts, Samsung's mobile business has been adversely affected.
Despite the fact that the company is still the largest mobile OEM in the country closely followed by Micromax, their market share is gradually decreasing with every passing year. Nevertheless their financial reports speak the same too.

Time for some maths!
The Korean giant today officially declared their financial results for the second quarter (Q2) of 2015. The company reported a revenue of $41.7 billion (48.54 trillion KRW) and an operating profit of $5.93 billion (6.9 trillion KRW). Both numbers despite being slightly higher than the numbers from last quarters are much lower than the one the company was recording in the beginning of 2014. So it clearly shows Samsung are in a slump.
Cause behind the Slump:
Despite that the fact that their Flagship for 2015 aka. 'Samsung Galaxy S6 was truly a beast of a device, it failed to attain the sales numbers the company has expected from it.
With each passing days people are getting concious about their money and are starting to rely on global Chinese brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus who sells millions of device at very low profit and thereby keeping costs down to the earth.
Meet the saviour: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus
In a bid to make amends though the company is mulling to launch a new gen Samsung S6 Edge Plus, albeit with a bigger display. The S6 Edge that was launched earlier this year had gained a lot of popularity post launch and the company failed to meet up to its high demands.
Hence in an attempt to woo possilbe buyers the company wants to start completely afresh with a larger sized Edge smartphone - this time around they would be bundling enough stocks in the go-down before getting public with the device.

Moreover the company is going to organise their 'Unpakced Event' earlier on the 13th of August. They generally conduct the evnet on September at IFA, Berlin but the company wants to gain an edge of the iPhone (scheduled to launch on September) by launching their devices earlier.
We are expecting to see the Galaxy Note and the Note Edge at the event. There's also a word regarding the fact that the company may reviel their smartwatch dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Gear A at the event.
But that's old news. We are more interested about this 'new' Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus with a 'bigger' display. Any ideas regarding what's cooking?
Price cut for the exisitng Galaxy S6!
There's also talks regarding the fact the company will be giving a price cut to their existing S6 range i.e. the S6 and the S6 Edge in a coming few weeks. This I believe will be a smart move and may have a good effect on the sales of the two Flagship devices.
