While Meizu may not have launched many smartphones in the first half of 2017, the second half wouldn't be the same. The Chinese company is apparently all set to launch a new smartphone on October 11.
Dubbed as the Meizu MX7, alleged promo posters of the smartphone have been leaked. Shared by a Weibo user, the posters were spotted by GizmoChina. The MX7 is expected to be a flagship model since the MX series was Meizu's flagship series before the arrival of the Pro series. This smartphone was supposed to get launched in September, but the company made no announcements.
Even if the launch got, we will soon see the unveiling of the Meizu MX7 soon, as per the posters. That being said, we can't guarantee you the authenticity of these posters. It should also be noted that Meizu has not sent out press invites yet for any launch event.
Currently, the specs and features of the Meizu MX7 are unknown. We are expecting an upgradation over last year's MX6. To remind you, the Meizu MX6 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display offering 1080p resolution.
As for innards, the smartphone is powered by a 1.39 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage, clubbed with the chipset.
In the photography department, Meizu MX6 offers a 12MP primary camera with LED flash, PDAF and more, and an 8MP front-facing camera. The MX6 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, topped with the company's own Flyme 5.2.2 OS.
Also, there is a fingerprint scanner integrated into the touch home button of the device. Other features in the phone include a 4,000mAh battery with quick charge support (known as 'mCharge'), dual SIM support, 4G connectivity, and other standard connectivity options.
