Alleged photo of Huawei Mate 8 reveals metal design, fingerprint scanner setup, and more
Huawei has been in news for its upcoming premium smartphone, the Mate 8. The phone is expected to be announced on November 26, for which Huawei has already reeased its teaser posters. The phone has been spotted in alleged images, and various leaks, which has given us quite some details of the upcoming device. The recently leaked photo showed the phone with a protective case, which didn't give a good look of the phone. Now, a new photo has surfaced to reveal the back side of the Mate 8.
The unannounced phone in the latest image leak looks similar to the phone spotted in previously leaked image. As seen in the newest image, the Huawei Mate 8 features a round fingerprint scanner placed below its rear camera, which is similar to the fingerprint scanner module seen on the Google Nexus 6P, which is again a Huawei handset.
Lenovo Vibe X3 launched with 3GB RAM, 21MP snapper and more: Key specifications and Features
Speaking of key design elements, the Huawei Mate 8 seems to have metallic design and a svelte frame. Another noticeable part is a microUSB port at the bottom of the device, which means that this phone will not have the nowadays fashionable, USB Type-C port. The phone seems to feature dual speakers near the port.
Speaking of features and specifications, the Mate 8 is the successor to the last year launched Mate7 phablet. Hence, we expect a large device with a 6-inch FHD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution, and powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor. It is likely to be made available in two variants, including a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage version with a 13MP rear camera, and a more premium 4GB version with 64GB native storage and 16MP snapper.
Other expected features include an 8MP front-facing camera, and a huge battery with fast charging capabilities.
The Huawei Mate 8 phone is most likely coming on November 26. It is on the launch day that we will get to know about the exact pricing and availability details of the company's premium smartphone. Stay tuned to know more.
