According to a new report coming from China Xiaomi is allegedly working on a device with a Helio X20 chip on the inside. Just to recall it was only yesterday that Xiaomi launched two new products the Mi Pad 2 and the Redmi Note 3. Hence it quite hard to assume the exact product that will be sporting this Helio X20 chip.

One probable answer might be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5. However it would be safe to infer that as wrong considering the fact that reliable tipsters across the globe state that the Snapdragon 820 will don the Mi5.

Just to recall the Helio X20 SoC is one of the fastest SoCs around with upcoming flagship devices like Vivo X6 reported to don it. The chip is in fact as powerful as the Exynos 7420 SoC. Thus the question of using this chip in a budget device seems out of question. Nevertheless with Xiaomi nothing can be pre-assumed.

The Chinese startup had surprised everyone by including a Helio X10 SoC in a lower mid-rage device like the Redmi Note 2. Apparently that too was a flagship chip at that time with the Meizu MX5 sporting it under the hood. Hence it won't be a surprise to see Xiaomi include it in their upcoming Note? Maybe the Redmi Note 4!

Nevertheless one thing is for sure - the Helio X20 powered device isn't coming anywhere before the first half of 2016. Going by the present trends that a perfect time for launching an updated Redmi Note. Or will this Helio X20 powered device be a new device all together?
