Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 now rolling down onto Samsung Galaxy Note5 in India

After Samsung Galaxy S5 started receiving the Marshmallow update yesterday, another smartphone from Samsung's stable got a taste of the same. Well, the device in question is none other than the Samsung Galaxy Note5 which was launched in India towards the end of last year.

The update comes soon after the flagship of 2015 namely the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge received the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update in India. Before receiving the update, the Galaxy Note5 was running on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 with the company's own TouchWiz UI on top.

The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 OTA update for the Samsung Galaxy Note comes in 1.26GB update package. In fact, it includes the latest March Security update rolled out by Google. Just in case you haven't received an OTA notification for the update, you can manually check for the update from the Settings > About > Software Update section of your device.
