Apple has officially scheduled its first major launch event of the year for 4 March, inviting select members of the global media to what it describes as a "special Apple experience."

The announcement signals the start of Apple's 2026 hardware cycle and suggests a focus on both consumer and professional devices. With multiple product categories expected to see updates, the event is already generating significant interest across the tech industry and Apple's worldwide user base.

The event will be held across New York, London, and Shanghai, signalling a global focus and possibly region-specific presentations. According to the invite, the showcase will begin at 9AM ET, 2PM GMT, 10PM CST, and 07:30PM IST aligning with local times in the three cities. Apple has yet to confirm whether the event will be livestreamed or followed by post-event announcements and press briefings.

Expectations are high that Apple will use the occasion to unveil a range of new hardware, with Macs, iPhones, and iPads all tipped to feature prominently.

MacBook and Mac Display Expectations

Mac hardware is widely expected to take centre stage. Rumours suggest Apple could introduce a new entry-level MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chipset, marking a shift toward iPhone-class silicon in lower-cost laptops. This model is said to feature an aluminium body, multiple colour options, and a starting price below $1,000, positioning it as Apple's most affordable Mac notebook in years.

Alongside this, refreshed MacBook Air models running the upcoming M5 chip are anticipated. Higher-end users may also see new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro variants equipped with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, expanding Apple's next-generation silicon lineup. New Mac displays designed to complement these machines are also rumoured, though details remain scarce.

iPhone 17e and iPad Rumours

On the mobile side, the most talked-about product is the iPhone 17e, expected to succeed last year's iPhone 16e. The device is tipped to feature a 6.1-inch display with Dynamic Island, powered by Apple's A19 chipset. Leaks point to a single 48MP rear camera, an 18MP front camera, MagSafe support, and a new C1X modem, with a likely launch price of $599.

Tablets are also expected to feature. Reports suggest the iPad Air range could jump to the M4 chip, while a new baseline iPad may adopt the A18 processor, bringing Apple Intelligence capabilities to more affordable models.

While none of these announcements are officially confirmed, all eyes are now on 4 March, when Apple is expected to reveal its early-2026 hardware roadmap and set the tone for the year ahead.
