Apple iPhone 16 and 16 Plus Launched With Action Button: Check India Price and Specs

The iPhone 16 and the 16 Plus were announced at the "It's Glowtime" launch event, held at the company's HQ (Steve Jobs Theatre). The design language of both standard and Plus variants are similar to their predecessors except for the camera module.

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus Specifications

The iPhone 16 sports a 6.1-inch OLED display with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, while the iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch display. The screen is now protected by Ceramic Shield material that is touted to be 50% tougher compared to the previous generation model.

Running iOS 18, both models are powered by the all-new A18 chip, which has a 16-core neural engine that's twice as fast for machine learning tasks. It also offers 17% more system memory bandwidth, all optimized for Apple Intelligence and on-device AI capabilities. For imaging, there is a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and Sensor-shift OIS and a 12MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus.

The iPhone 16 and the 16 Plus users can now play AAA games, which were earlier limited to Pro models. Both models can reduce wind noise in videos and capture spatial videos and photos. The non-pro models also feature an Action Button and a new camera control feature. Apple usually doesn't reveal the battery capacities of the iPhones but it says there is a "big boost to battery life,"

Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come in ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black colour options and will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities. The standard iPhone 16 price in India starts at Rs 79,900, while the iPhone 16 Plus comes with a starting price of Rs 89,900. Pre-orders for both models will begin on September 13, with availability beginning September 20.
