Apple iPhone 16 Massive Leaks Reveals an Impressive New Camera Module, Capture Button, and More

The next-gen iPhone 16 has been the talk of the town for several days and launch in a few months. Leaks and rumours have given us a fair idea of what to expect from the next-gen iPhone 16.

The iPhone 16 is expected to have significant upgrades compared to its predecessor. If rumours are to be believed the iPhone 16 will ship with an upgraded camera design, an all-new capture button, and much more.

iPhone 16 Expected Features: We Know So Far

Apple is expected to replace the diagonal-positioned cameras with a vertical camera layout on the iPhone 16. The flash will be placed outside the camera module similar to the iPhone 6. The next-gen iPhone 16 series is reported to feature ultra-thin bezels using Border Reduction structure (BRS) technology.

Speculation suggests the Pro models will see the upgrade in terms of display size. The base iPhone 16 will have a similar 6.1-inch panel with a 60Hz refresh rate to the iPhone 15.

All four models of the iPhone 16 series will ship with a USB-C port which was first introduced for the iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 16 is expected to feature an Action Button instead of the mute button. The next-gen iPhone could also include an all-new "capture button" located on the right edge of the phone.

The standard iPhone 16 is likely to be powered by the A17 or A18 Bionic SoC. The iPhone 16 series will be launched with iOS 18 which is expected to ship with redesigned UI Elements borrowed from the visionOS operating system of the Vision Pro glasses.

As far as the launch is concerned, Apple is expected to follow its traditional launch timeline in September for the next-gen iPhone 16 series as well. On the other hand, iOS 18 will be released on June 10 at the WWDC 2024 developers' conference.
