Apple iPhone 16 Series to Sport Larger Displays Than iPhone 15 Series

It seems like rumors and leaks about Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 series have been done to death, as there are new reports about Apple's next year's iPhone 16 series.

The latest report claims that Apple's 2024 iPhone will come with bigger displays, as per Ross Young, Display Supply Chain Consultants. In a report to MacRumors, Ross Young claims that the iPhone 16 models will sport a larger display than the upcoming iPhone 15 series.

While he initially added that the iPhone 16 Pro Max could have a 6.9-inch display, he later corrected himself saying that it could be about 6.8x-inch. The iPhone 16 Pro will reportedly feature a 6.2x-inch display, almost close to a 6.3-inch screen.

In comparison, the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro variant is said to feature a 6.1-inch display, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly come with a 6.7-inch screen. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is also reported to have the thinnest bezels seen on any iPhone.

Apple hasn't modified display sizes on its iPhones Pro models for years now, even though it has trimmed the bezel sizes by a few millimeters here and there over the years. However, the DSCC chief has had a good streak with Apple leaks and rumors, so there's a good chance that what we're hearing about the 2024 Apple iPhone models is true.

That apart, the iPhone 16 models are also expected to sport solid-state buttons. These buttons were initially rumored to be a part of the upcoming iPhone 15 series, but we're hearing rumors that Apple decided to postpone this feature to next year's iPhone 16 series because of certain technical issues.

The upcoming series will introduce the Dynamic Island feature on all models this year. However, the 120Hz ProMotion feature is said to be exclusive to the Pro variants this year as well.

The Pro models will also have upgraded cameras with new Sony sensors and possibly 48MP resolution. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus will likely continue with 12MP dual cameras. The 15 Pro Mac could also have a periscope sensor with 6x optical zoom.

There's also the much-hyped USB Type-C port on all four models with support for 20W fast charge, 15W MagSafe Charge, and 7.5W Qi wireless charge.
