Apple iPhone 17 Series Pricing in India and Globally Tipped Ahead of Launch on September 9
Apple is preparing to unveil its iPhone 17 series at the "Awe Dropping" event on September 9, 2025. The lineup will include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
These models are expected to feature significant upgrades compared to the previous iPhone 16 series. However, along with these enhancements, a price increase is anticipated.

iPhone 17 Series Pricing in India
Leaks suggest that Apple plans to raise prices by approximately $50 (around Rs 5,000) across all models. The iPhone 17 might start at $849 or Rs 84,990 for the 128GB version, up from last year's $799 pricing. The iPhone 17 Pro could see a more substantial increase, starting at $1,049 or Rs 1,24,990 for the 256GB variant instead of the previous base model's price.
The top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumoured to launch at $1,249 or around Rs 1,50,000 in India. This would make it one of Apple's most expensive offerings yet. If these leaks are accurate, consumers can expect higher costs for these new devices.
iPhone 17 Series Specifications and Features
The iPhone 17 is likely to maintain a design similar to its predecessor but with enhancements such as a larger screen and 120Hz ProMotion technology. It may be powered by the Apple A19 processor and come with 8GB RAM. Additionally, it could support advanced Apple Intelligence features and improved camera controls.
In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to undergo significant design changes. They might feature a new rectangular camera bar with a triple-camera setup of three 48MP sensors. The flash and LiDAR sensor could be repositioned towards the right side of the device.
iPhone 17 Series Design Innovations
The placement of the Apple logo on both the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max might be slightly adjusted. These models could be powered by the A19 Pro chip paired with up to 12GB RAM. However, there may be differences in display sizes between these two models.
The iPhone 17 Air is set to replace the previous Plus model with an ultra-slim design measuring just 5.5mm thick. It may feature a Pixel-like camera island and weigh less than Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge. This model could also include a powerful A19 Pro chipset alongside a main camera boasting a resolution of 48MP.
