Apple has announced dates for its upcoming event where it will be finally unveiling its most awaited smartphones of the year. A few days ahead of the Apple launch event scheduled for September 9, fresh reports have suggested a new colour variant, and lack of Sapphire display.
There has been a conflict of rumors around which shade of Pink will become Apple's color choice for its upcoming iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Seems like,9to5Machas found out the answer, just about a few days ahead of an official unveiling.
Rose Gold it is!
Rumors have it that for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus Apple will be adding a new pink colour option to the existing Space Gray, Silver, and Gold colours that it used for iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s. The latest report confirms that the new gen iPhones will actually come in a new colour, which is Rose Gold not only in appearance but name as well.
This new Rose Gold color is believed to be a variation on the gold option with a copper-like tone, and have a white colour front panel, similar to the standard gold iPhone. It is also mentioned in the report that this new colour resembles the shades of two gold variants for the Apple Watch, including a premium edition that costs over $10,000. However, the Rose Gold iPhone will not be a premium edition, and instead don an anodized aluminum chassis. It is also suggested that the company has worked on animated wallpapers on the lock screen for the Rose Gold colour variant of upcoming iPhones.
Apple says NO to Sapphire display
As for the Sapphire display, the Cupertino giant is not using sapphire crystal cover for the upcoming iPhone screens, to retain the ionized glass panel which it now calls as "Ion-X glass."
Reportedly, beside the Rose Gold colour casing woth new animated wallpapers, and lack of sapphire crystal display, the new generation iPhones 6 will feature a Force Touch display.
Force touch has more features
The Force Touch on iPhone will work similar to the force sensitive technology on new MacBooks and in the Apple Watch. However, the force touch technology on iPhone 6S' will mainly be used to short-cutting iOS features, instead of working as an additional menu overlay for buttons.
Another interesting part is that Apple may call the Force Touch display on the iPhone by their name.
As for camera the phones will flaunt 12-megapixel snappers which will support video recording in full 4K resolution. For selfie lovers, Apple has updated front-facing camera which now comes with flash lighting.
Speaking of processor, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will be powered by a faster A9 processor with improved graphics performance. It is also believed that the Qualcomm's cellular chipset in new gen iPhones are more efficient.
The new generation iPhones are coming on September 9 in an event, where Apple is also expected to announce a few more devices.
