Apple iPhone battery explodes on being bitten by user

An iPhone user in Nanjing City, China visited an electronics store to replace the battery of his device. In an attempt to check the authenticity of the battery that was offered by the retailer, he decided to chomp down on it just like how people bite coins to see if they are legitimate. The CCTV footage captured by the camera in the store shows him taking a bite of the battery given for his iPhone and it explodes.

If you do not believe in what we say, you can see the iPhone battery going BOOM as he takes a bite of it. The security camera placed in the store shows the footage of the whole incident for you. And, we are glad that despite the fact that the battery exploded just inches away from his face, he has not been injured. Also, no one else in the store has been hurt due to the iPhone battery explosion.

Remember that it could be even fatal to take a bite of a smartphone battery. You shouldn't try to poke the battery with a sharp object too or hit the batteries with objects such as a hammer, nail, bowling ball or any other heavy object as these are also causes that lead to the battery explosion. However, these are not the only causes that can result in battery explosion incidents.

Since December 2017, Apple is being criticized for slowing down the older iPhone models with weaker batteries. And, the company also admitted that it throttled the processor on such phones. The compromised batteries couldn't handle complex tasks causing the affected iPhones to shut down. The users of the affected devices were upset as the company rolled out a software update to throttle the iPhone CPUs without the informing them.

Eventually, the company faced many lawsuits as Apple customers started suing the company for slowing down their smartphones without their knowledge. Following these issues, Apple announced the replacement program wherein the affected iPhone users can replace the battery on their smartphone at a discount though it is becoming a long process and needs them to wait over two months in some countries.
