Apple To Embed Larger Battery Packs In All iPhone 15 Models: Capacities Leaked From Chinese Factories

Apple is finally realizing the importance of cramming larger batteries inside its iPhone devices. Compared to any previous iPhone model, the company is expected to embed the biggest batteries in the upcoming iPhone 15 models.

All the iOS smartphone models in the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 series will get bigger batteries, claims a new rumor. Let's look at the expected improvements and battery capacities of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Battery Capacities Of All iPhone 15 Series Smartphones Leaked

A new rumor from an "insider" at a Foxconn factory claims this year's Apple iPhone 15 series iOS smartphones will have definite improvements in battery capacity. The rumor apparently originated from the assembler's Chinese factory and adds that all four iPhone 15 series devices will benefit.

Last year's Apple iPhone 14 series too had larger batteries compared to the previous generations. However, the jump wasn't significant. The iPhone 14 packs a 3,279mAh battery, the iPhone 14 Plus and the iPhone 14 Pro Max have a 4,323mAh battery. The iPhone 14 Pro has the smallest battery capacity in the series with a 3,200mAh cell.

According to the latest rumor, the iPhone 15 will pack a 3,877mAh battery, the iPhone 15 Plus will have a 4,912mAh battery, the iPhone 15 Pro will pack a 3,650mAh, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a 4,852mAh.

Unlike last year, the iPhone 15 Plus and the Pro Max variants don't seem to have the same battery capacity. In fact, Apple appears to have crammed the largest iPhone battery inside the iPhone 15 Plus model.

Will Apple iPhones Ever Get 5000mAh Or Bigger Battery Packs?

Needless to mention, the jump in battery capacity is quite big. If this rumor turns out to be true, all Apple iPhone 15 series smartphones would easily outperform previous-generation iOS smartphones.

Apple doesn't officially disclose battery capacities, presumably because it has been cramming smaller batteries inside its iPhone devices compared to Android smartphones. Not just the budget and midrange, but even the premium Android smartphones now pack 5000mAh battery packs.

Despite packing larger batteries in the upcoming iPhone 15 series, Apple still hasn't opted for a battery with a 5000mAh capacity. Incidentally, another recently surfaced rumor suggested that this year's iPhones will be a little thicker compared to the iPhone 14 series.
