Apple to launch iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus on September 12
This year we have heard a lot of rumors suggesting that the iPhone 8 launch would be delayed. Only a few said otherwise.
Last week, we came across a report that claimed Apple will unveil the iPhone 8 on September 12. Besides this year's flagship, the company is also expected to launch two more smartphones; the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. Keeping in line with this report, The Wall Street Journal has also published a report saying the same thing.
According to the publication, the launch event will be held at the Steve Jobs theater which is located on Apple's campus. As it is always the case, Apple has not revealed a single information about the iPhone 8. Regardless of that, the hype around the smartphone is unbelievable.
Being the 10th-anniversary model, it is expected to come with some outstanding features. For example, the iPhone 8 will be the first iPhone to feature an OLED display with full-screen design and wireless charging support.
Initially, it was speculated that the smartphone would come with an under-screen fingerprint scanner, but later some reports suggested the iPhone 8 may not feature a fingerprint sensor at all. Rather, it will have an iris sensor for 3D facial recognition.
Other than that, the front camera of the iPhone 8 is said to come equipped with advanced AR capabilities. Coming to another report, it claims the device will be launched in three different storage variants. The highest version will reportedly a carry a whopping 512GB of internal storage space.
Talking about the pricing aspect, the iPhone 8 is likely to be the most expensive iPhone ever. The basic model will probably carry a price tag of around $1,100.
