Asus launches Zenfone 2 Deluxe Again! But now with a new Intel SoC!

    Asus isn't quite ready to stop expanding their Zenfone 2 portfolio, as they keep launching new phones every other month. After having launched the Zenfone Zoom (First Impressions) in India, the Taiwanese company has now launched a Special Edition variant of an already Limited Edition Zenfone 2 Deluxe. Well sounds confusing? It's bound to be!

    Unlike the existing Zenfone 2 Deluxe (Review), the Limited Edition model comes with an all-new 2.5GHz quad core Intel Z3590 SoC which debuted in the Zenfone Zoom. This is clubbed with 4GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Furthermore Asus is providing room for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot.

    Besides that Asus is also providing two colour variants of the Zenfone Deluxe this time around - a Silver polygon variant (same 3D pattern as seen in the previously launched one) and a new Carbon Night variant (a flat back cover with carbon fiber finish). The Special Edition Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe comes with a rear accents on the side, front camera and on rear volume rockers - much like the company's ROG series of gaming laptops.

    Rest of the specifications of the device are however similar to the one launch before. This includes a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 13MP rear camera, 5MP selfie snapper and a 3000mAH non-removable battery.

    To justify its Special Edition tag, Asus is providing an exclusive red and black ZenUI theme for this device. Asus however, hasn't announced the price or the launch dates of the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition variant.
