Asus unveils Zenfone Max Pro M1 with dual camera, SD 636 for Rs 10,999
Asus launches its Redmi Note 5 Pro competitor with similar specs.
ASUS has announced the launch of its Zenfone Max Pro smartphones in partnership with the e-commerce giant Flipkart. The smartphone will go against the likes of the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, as both device feature similar specifications including the processor and the display.
Price
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will come at a starting price of Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the 4GB variant will be available for Rs 12,999. The smartphone will go on sale starting May 3 exclusively on the e-commerce portal.
Users will also get an all things covered warranty for the device at Rs 49. Besides, Vodafone will offer data plans worth up to Rs 3,200. An additional Rs 1,000 off can be availed on an exchange and a no-cost EMI up to 12 months on all the credit cards.
Specifications
The smartphone sports a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2160 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, as seen the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. It comes in two variants, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The device comes equipped with a dual camera setup comprising 13MP and 5MP sensors at the along with LED flash. For selfies, the company has tucked in an 8MP front-facing snapper with LED flash and Snapdragon camera app interface. The Zenfone Max Pro is also the first to come sans the Zen UI and run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
The device will draw power from a massive 5000mAh battery that claims to offer up to 199 hours of music playback, up to 34.1 days of 4G standby and up to 25.3 hours 1080p video playback. Other connectivity features include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Asus also announced that it will soon launch a new model in the same portfolio. The new model will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the photography front, the smartphone will also have a dual camera setup with 16MP + 5MP sensors. Asus has already announced the pricing for the device. It will come at a price of Rs 14,999 with similar benefits from Flipkart.
