Asus ROG Phone 7D Key Specifications Leaked

Asus is planning to launch the ROG Phone 7 series soon. The smartphone lineup will be the successor of the ROG Phone 6 series which launched in India and other global markets last year. The gaming phone lineup is known for its power packed specifications and additional accessories aiding the gaming experience.

The previous Asus ROG Phone 6 lineup debuted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, along with offering features such as shoulder-mounted trigger buttons, high refresh rate display, and more.

According to a new leak, the ROG Phone series 7 is going to be no slouch, and will be reclaiming its throne of being a true blue gaming phone. The report details the specifications of one of the smartphones in the lineup. The ROG Phone 7 series includes the Asus ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, and the ROG Phone 7D.

The report details the specifications of the ROG Phone 7D, with information obtained from the Geekbench database ahead of its launch.

According to a listing on the benchmarking portal, Geekbench, the Asus ROG Phone 7D, with model number AI2205_D will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The chipset will be paired with 16GB RAM. The listing further reveals the smartphone will run on Android 13 out of the box.

As for the performance, the Geekbench listing shows a single core score of 2012, and multi-core score of 5697. It is certainly competitive and in line with the reference numbers Qualcomm had showcased during the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

A previous leak had detailed some of the key specs of the ROG Phone 7 series. As per the report by The Tech Outlook, the ROG Phone Series will run on the flagship Snapdragon SoC, and will come with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate variant will come with 512GB storage.

All three smartphones will also reportedly feature an AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate.

Most of the other specifications, along with the gaming-centric features are unknown at this point. The smartphone is going through the certification rounds, and is likely to launch soon. The lineup has been popular enough for Asus to continue refreshing the models in India. We hope the ROG Phone 7 series too will be launched in India, especially at a time when users are pivoting more towards high-end smartphones.
