Asus ROG Phone 8 Launch Officially Teased: Design, Triple Cameras Confirmed

Asus recently confirmed the launch of its next gaming smartphone. The Asus ROG 8 has officially been teased by the company official X (previously known as Twitter) handle.

The teaser doesn't reveal an official launch date, only that the Asus ROG Phone 8 would be "coming soon". This suggests that the Asus ROG Phone 8 launch date could take place sometime next year. Additionally, the teaser also gives us the first official look at the ROG Phone 8.

Asus ROG Phone 8: What we know so far!

The teaser reveals the design of the back panel of the ROG Phone 8, which features what could be a dual-tone grey finish. The Asus ROG Phone 8 also has the Asus ROG Logo in the middle and the second USB Type-C port on the side.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 also boasts a pentagon-shaped camera island that houses three sensors and an LED Flash. As of now, there is no other information about the ROG Phone 8, although Asus is going with the tag "Beyond Gaming".

We also know that the Asus ROG Phone 8 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This does suggest that the ROG Phone 8 will feature a more well-rounded flagship experience as opposed to solely focusing on gaming like ROG phones of the past.

Asus ROG Phone 8: What to Expect?

The Snapdragon chip on the ROG Phone 8 will come with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The ROG Phone 8 could also get an updated QHD+ OLED display, unlike its predecessor, which opts for an FHD+ 165Hz AMOLED screen.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 could also pack a 6,000 mAh battery with 65W wired fast charging support. The "beyond gaming" line also suggests that the ROG Phone 8 could feature a main + ultrawide + telephoto rear camera configuration.
